Recipe - During lockdown I reckon we all experimented, I certainly did.......this was one of those experiments.
I saw it on a TV chef programme and had to give it a try.
HOMEMADE KEBAB MEAT
500g lamb finely minced
2 tsp garlic granules
1 tsp ground black pepper
1 tsp ground sea salt
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp Paprika
1 tsp Chilli powder
1 leg egg
Vegetable oil.
Whisk egg.
Add all ingredients to a roomy bowl.
Bring everything together using your hands for 10 min.
Place paste on to a large sheet of cling wrap, roll into a thick sausage shape twisting each end of the cling wrap tightly to form a smooth cylindrical shape.
Chill for 1 hr.
Remove from chilling, unwrap the sausage.
Wrap in foil.
Pierce the underside of foil roll.
Place in a roasting dish in a preheated oven 200°C for 40 min.
When complete, remove from oven.
Allow to cool slightly.
Carve thinly along the length into ribbons.
