Corned beef hash recipe. I know there are a lot of variations of corned beef hash (or tater hash as we call it) but where I am it's like a stew.
1 tin of corned beef chopped £2
Potatoes peeled and chopped 50p
Carrots peeled and chopped 20p
1 onion diced 15p
Couple of beef oxo cubes 20p
Water to almost cover
(How many potatoes and carrots depend on how many you want to feed etc)
Chuck it all in the slow cooker on high for 4 hours ish until veg is soft or chuck it all in a pan and boil on the hob for 30mins or so.
Serve with pickled red cabbage (or beetroot) and crusty bread 😋
This cost me around £3 (not including cabbage and bread) and will serve 5-6 people so 50-60p a portion.
*tip- if it's too watery add cornflour or a sprinkle of instant mash.*
