Despite high hopes and adding extra salt and pepper, Jamie Oliver's Scruffy Veg Lasagne turned out underwhelming, echoing sentiments from other reviews. While it wasn't terrible, it didn't quite hit the mark for us, and it's not a dish I plan to make again.

  1. Cook the lasagne sheets according to the package instructions.
  2. In a pan, sauté thinly sliced leeks until softened.
  3. Add chopped broccoli and continue to cook until tender.
  4. Prepare a simple cheese sauce by melting 1/4 block of cheese in a saucepan, then stirring in milk until smooth.
  5. Mix in the frozen petit pois to the veggie mixture and season to taste.
  6. In a baking dish, layer the cooked lasagne sheets with the vegetable and cheese sauce mixture.
  7. Top with additional lasagne sheets and a final layer of the veggie mixture.
  8. Bake in the oven until golden and bubbly.
  9. Serve alongside garlic bread and salady bits.
