  • Slice of bread, egg, onion, 2 mushrooms, 3 garlic cloves, homegrown spring onion & parsley (40p ish)
  • 1/4 block cheese (64p)
  • Passata, chipotle paste, tomato puree & 2 garlic cloves (80p ish)
  • 1/2 bag frozen chips (£1.12)
  • Beetroot (free from Olio)

  1. Preheat the oven. Mix the beef mince with breadcrumbs, egg, finely chopped onion, mushrooms, garlic, spring onion, and parsley. Shape into meatballs.
  2. In a pan, sautΓ© the meatballs until browned on all sides.
  3. Blend passata, chipotle paste, tomato puree, and garlic for the sauce. Simmer the meatballs in the sauce until cooked through.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare frozen chips according to package instructions.
  5. Slice the bread, place meatballs on top, cover with sauce, and add cheese. Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
