Recipe - Roast Pork Feast with Rhubarb Crumble! 🍖🍰

Ingredients:

  • Pork joint (£8.50)
  • 1/2 cabbage (32p)
  • Onion (6p)
  • 1/6 bag frozen peas (14p)
  • Swede (65p)
  • 1/3 tub mushrooms (19p)
  • Dauphinoise (made from cheap Xmas veg & frozen) (34p)
  • Leftover stuffing (free, as costed previously)
  • Flour, egg, & milk for batter mix (50p ish)

Total Cost: £10.51

Instructions:

  1. Roast the pork joint until cooked and crispy.
  2. Prepare buttery swede, peas, cabbage (and an onion), and dauphinoise potatoes.
  3. Make Yorkshire puddings using flour, egg, and milk.
  4. Serve the roast pork with crispy crackling, swede, peas, cabbage, stuffing, dauphinoise potatoes, and Yorkshire puddings.
  5. For dessert, make a rhubarb crumble using rhubarb from a friend's allotment and serve with custard.

This lavish and delightful feast, including a homemade rhubarb crumble, fed five for just £2.10 each. What a wonderful dinner! 🍽️😋😀
