Ingredients:

  • Venison (from the Company shop, £2.61)
  • Handful of pearl barley (16p)
  • 2 onions (12p)
  • 1/4 bag of carrots (11p)
  • 2 stock cubes (6p)
  • Mash (free from Olio)
  • 1/3 bag of frozen broccoli (31p)
  • Gravy granules (16p)

Total Cost: £3.53

Instructions:

  1. In a pot, cook the venison until browned.
  2. Add sliced onions, diced carrots, and pearl barley.
  3. Pour in enough water to cover the ingredients, add stock cubes, and bring to a simmer.
  4. Let it cook until the venison is tender and the barley is cooked through.
  5. Thicken the stew with gravy granules to your desired consistency.
  6. Serve the venison stew over a bed of mashed potatoes and alongside steamed broccoli.
