Recipe - Sausages with Mushroom Gravy, Mushy Peas, and Garlic Roasties - a mouthwatering combination!


  • 1/2 bag of frozen sausages (75p)
  • 1/3 bag of potatoes (50p)
  • 1/6 bag of frozen peas (13p)
  • Mushy peas (32p)
  • 1/4 tub of mushrooms (47p)
  • Leftover gravy (previously costed as free)

Total Cost: £2.17


  1. Roast the sausages in the oven until they are cooked through and golden brown.
  2. While the sausages are cooking, peel and chop the potatoes into roastie-sized pieces. Toss them in oil and minced garlic, then roast until crispy and golden.
  3. In a pan, saut矇 sliced mushrooms until they are tender.
  4. Reheat the leftover gravy in a saucepan.
  5. Boil the frozen peas until they are tender or heat up the mushy peas according to package instructions.

Serve the sausages on a bed of garlic roasties, topped with mushroom gravy, and accompanied by a side of peas. The close-up of those amazing roasties says it all!
